Had a runner today Empty
PostSubject: Had a runner today   Had a runner today EmptySat May 19, 2012 9:39 pm

So, I think Hawthorne park puts cures's on HPI Trophys.

I was trying to tune in my truck, and it took off across the field! come to find out the connector for the batteries on the receiver broke off. Luckily it flew all the way across the field and in a bush and not into a tree or onto telegraph!

So, I went to larry's and picked up a rechargeable battery pack.

And so my question is, on the side of the pack, I charged it with the recommended settings (it says it will take 12-14 hours to charge), and after 2 hours it says it was complete!

Was it a fluke? Should I try to charge again? Should I risk another run-a-way and just try it out???? Question

It could be that battery companys ship there batterys to stores about 3/4s charged. Most battery comps will recommend that charge level for long term storage so assuming there products will sit on store shelfs for awhile, thats how they ship them out.

If you got a good charger that can detect a fully charged battery then it shouldnt hurt to charge it again. It will just stop charging as soon as it detects the full charge.... right?

Batteries bats lipo.hmm.1 amp Charge? Ok how many millaamps?.. what is the C charge rate is it 1C ??? cause a 5000 mah 2 cell lipo has a charge rate higher than 1 amp..>5 amp..most.. and if u DARE u can charge a 5000mah 2 c lipo with a 3C rating at 20 amps and get away with it But it might go puff.. but it will sure give you a knock out 1st 4 minutes of hard run time and still be strong for the next 5..See this going on all race season @ all TRACKS !..
Get a failsafe stops the RUNAWAYS..
