I have a slash 4x4, dont care for it to much. not the greatest handling. it's good for launching off ramps in the field. I have the Hyper 10SC, love that thing for racing. handles great. I also have a HPI Blitz ESE, for 2wd it handles great also, fun to drive. I've never drove a SC10 or Strike so I can comment on those. But I've heard they are the best out there.

Do you have an ultimate or a base model?

My Slash is just the basic VLX 4x4 model. I don't think there is much difference except for more aluminum. But I could be wrong

there is a couple more things, the aluminum hubs, center differential, front and rear sway bars, different shocks. I believe to get a basic vlx to the ultimate state, would cost around 175 as rc maddness states.

I do have the front and rear sway bars. I don't think the ultimate is worth the extra $175. $175 buys a lot of extra batteries!!

I have a Slash 2wd with the STRC LCG and Protrac kits. The thing handles like a dream. It out-turns SC10's and did I mention it handles like a dream? Cool

It would've placed very well at Larry's if my brother wasn't crashing so much though.
