| I'm just getting back into RC's after 10 years. My son is 10 and has been begging for an RC for a long time. I bought him a few cheapo's from Wal-Mart and he was amused, but I just couldn't see spending $30-$50 on a piece of junk. I had been wanting to get another RC for myself for years so what better reason than to get one for the two of us now that he's a little older. After a little research we ended up with a Traxxas Slash 2WD. For economic reasons I went with the 2WD over the 4WD for now, though I think I will end up getting myself the 4WD Slash pretty soon and my son will take the reigns of the 2WD. We look forward to doing some recreational racing at Grandwood's park in Lansing and also there is a nice BMX track here in St. Johns that I think will be fun to play around on. We are also hoping to get practiced up soon and maybe enter a competition or two this summer!
I look forward to learning more about the RC world from this site! My son and I are very excited about it!
Thx! Andy & Chandler Eberhard St. Johns, MI |

| Yes... We are very much in the middle of the mitten! Not too bad though, though I'm not that close to anything, I'm not that far from anything either! LOL
So far I love the Traxxas Slash! We've ran it a couple of times and it's been alot of fun! Took it to our local BMX track yesterday (it was cold) and had alot of fun! The track wasn't wet or muddy at all! Without a platform though it was hard to see over some of the larger jumps so we stayed on the smaller rollers which were perfect for the RC! Got some good air and had quite a few tumbles but the slash held up and we haven't had any problems YET! Looking forward to doing some MODS on the Slash in the near future.
Thx for the warm welcome by the way! |
